All manuscript submission and peer-review procedures are conducted entirely online via the Journal’s website at https://tapchi.ctump.edu.vn and include the following stages:
Manuscript Submission
Authors submit their manuscripts through the Journal’s online submission system at https://tapchi.ctump.edu.vn. Detailed instructions on author registration, manuscript submission, and manuscript preparation are available on the Journal’s website.
Preliminary screening and plagiarism check
Upon successful submission, all manuscripts are checked for similarity using plagiarism detection systems. The Editorial Office then conducts an initial screening to assess compliance with the Journal’s formatting and content requirements, adherence to the Author Guidelines, and scientific relevance.
Authors will receive one of the following notifications via email:
- The manuscript complies with submission requirements and is awaiting fee payment
- The manuscript requires revision and resubmission
- The manuscript is rejected
Manuscripts that pass the initial screening will receive an email invitation to complete the submission fee payment. After payment is confirmed, the Editorial Board assigns the manuscript to the Head of the relevant Specialty Section, who will invite two qualified reviewers with appropriate expertise.
The time from manuscript receipt to reviewer invitation typically ranges from 1 to 3 weeks.
Peer Review Stage
- The Editorial Board forwards the manuscript to the Head of the Specialty Section to invite two independent reviewers with relevant expertise.
- Reviewers evaluate the manuscript and provide one of the following recommendations:
- Accept as submitted
- Accept with minor revisions
- Accept with major revisions
- Revise and resubmit for further review
- Reject
In cases where reviewer recommendations are inconsistent (e.g., one reviewer recommends acceptance after revision while the other recommends rejection), a third reviewer will be invited to provide an additional assessment. The final decision is made based on the collective evaluations.
The peer-review period typically lasts 4 to 6 weeks from the date the manuscript is sent to reviewers.
Handling of review process
- Acceptance without revision: The Editorial Office proceeds with the publication process.
- Acceptance with revisions: Authors are requested to revise the manuscript according to reviewer comments. The revision period ranges from 2 to 3 weeks from the date authors receive the notification. This revision cycle may be repeated up to two times per manuscript, if necessary. Once reviewer approval is obtained, the manuscript proceeds to publication.
- Rejection: Manuscripts that fail to meet quality standards and are not recommended for publication by both reviewers will be rejected.
Publication
- The Editorial Office compiles all accepted and revised manuscripts and submits them to the Editorial Board for final evaluation. The Editor-in-Chief makes the final publication decision based on the following criteria:
- Relevance to the Journal’s aims and scope
- Article type (priority given to in-depth, high-quality original research)
- Scientific contribution and novelty
- Priority for publication in the nearest issue, based on topical relevance, manuscript quality, and submission date
Each issue publishes no more than two articles per corresponding author (i.e., first author).
- The Editorial Board and Editorial Office conduct copyediting, layout formatting, and proofreading.
- The Editorial Office notifies authors via email regarding the final decision, publication schedule, issue number, and volume.
- The list of published articles for each issue is officially announced and made publicly available on the Journal’s website at https://tapchi.ctump.edu.vn.
