Objectives: To determine the relationship between stroke survivors' characteristics and their caregivers' health education needs. Materials and methods: The cross-sectional descriptive study was conducted on 64 caregivers of stroke patients at Da Nang C Hospital, from April to June 2022. Mann - Whitney test, and Spearman's correlation were used to determine the relationship between variables. Results: The patient's level of independence was negatively related to the caregiver's health education need at discharge time (r = -0.26, p < 0.05). Conclusion: Health education activities for direct caregivers of stroke survivors who have many sequelae, affecting activities of living, movements, and mobility functions need to be prioritized.
