STUDY ON CLINICAL FEATURES OF ATROPHIC SCAR PATIENTS AT CAN THO UNIVERSITY OF MEDICINE AND PHARMACY HOSPITAL AND FOB VOCATIONAL EDUCATION CENTER OF BEAUTY FROM 2022 TO 2023

Abstract

Background: Acne scarring is a common undesirable complication of acnes, chickenpox, accident…It may significantly influence to skin. Objectives: To describe clinical features of atrophic scar patients in Can Tho university of medicine and pharmacy hospital and FOB vocational education center of beauty from 08/2022 to 08/2023. Materials and methods: A crosssectional study was conducted on 73 atropic scar patients in Can Tho University of Medicine And Pharmacy Hospital and FOB Vocational Education Center of Beauty from 2022 to 2023. Results: The average age of patients was 29.2 8.7 and the group of 21-30 years old took the highest rate (35.6%). Female was more than male (78.1% compared with 21.9%). There were 4.1% patients feeling itchy in lesions, 38.4% mixture scars with the common rate of boxscar (94.5%). Scars were in cheek was 94.5% with different sizes of under 2 mm and from 2–4 mm taking 63%. Scars number of over 20 was 30.1%; the serve level was 16.4%, moderate level of 50.7% and mild level of 32.9%. Patients being history of ances contributed 90.4% and chickenpox of 2.7% and 8.2% due to accident. The age of having ances scar was 20.0 ± 4.1 years old and the duration of scar was 1-27 years (median = 8 years). Conclusion: Acne scarrings as a results of acnes have a mixture of atropic scar.
