Abstract

Background: Injuries of both the anterior cruciate ligament and posterior cruciate ligament are serious. Simultaneous two ligaments reconstruction is essential to restore knee function and avoid secondary injury. Objectives: To Evaluate the results of simultaneous anterior cruciate ligament and posterior cruciate ligament arthroscopic reconstruction with Hamstring tendon and peroneus longus tendon autograft. Materials and methods: Prospective cross-sectional descriptive research on 24 patients who had combined ACL and PCL rupture were arthroscopically reconstructed from March 2021 to September 2022 at Can Tho Central General Hospital and Can Tho University of Medicine and Pharmacy Hospital. Results: The mean postoperative Lysholm score was 88.3 points (range 31-95), with 87.5% patients rated as excellent and good, 8.33% as fair, and 4.17% as bad. International Knee Document Committee (IKDC) score at final IKDC evaluation, 04 patients were graded level A, 16 patients were graded level B, 03 were patients level C, and 01 patient was level D. According to the NRS scale is 18 (75%) patients were very satisfied and 6 (25%) patients were satisfied, none patients was dissatisfied. Conclusions: The arthroscopic combined ACL and PCL reconstructions with Hamstring and peroneus longus tendon autograft are safe, effective surgery, and considerably improved knee function than before surgery.
