INITIAL EFFECTIVE EVALUATION OF SPINAL SURGICAL IMPLANTS MANUFACTURED BY IQ-LIFE COMPANY

Abstract

Background: There is no Vietnamese company that manufactures spinal surgical implants; and no research on the safety of spinal surgical implants on Vietnamese. Objective: To evaluate the effectiveness of spinal surgical implants  manufactured by IQlife company. Materials and method: This was a case series study of patients who had spinal surgery using implants manufactured by IQ-life company, at Nguyen Tri Phuong hospital, Nhan Dan Gia Dinh hospital, Thong Nhat hospital from Dec-2019 to Jun-2020. Results: 15 cases were operated, include 10 lumbar fusion cases, 4 anterior cervical discectomy anf fusion cases, 1 posterior cervical fusion case. There were a serious adverse event (6%) and five adverse event (30%) in this study. 87% of cases had very good and 13% of cases had good clinical appearance. Conclusion: Spinal surgical implants manufactured by IQ-life company are effective and safe for Vietnamese.
