Kỹ thuật siêu âm đánh dấu mô cơ tim 2D là một kỹ thuật mới cho phép đánh giá biến dạng cơ tim (strain), strain là một đặc tính cơ học nội tại của cơ tim. Strain phản ánh chức năng tâm thu cơ tim trực tiếp hơn các thông số siêu âm tim dựa vận động thành tim và kích thước buồng tim. Kỹ thuật siêu âm đánh dấu mô cơ tim 2D là một phương pháp không xâm lấn có thể sử dụng dễ dàng và nhanh chóng nhằm cung cấp thêm thông tin bên cạnh các thông số siêu âm tim cơ bản. Kỹ thuật mới này có thể xác định tổn thương cơ tim tinh vi và xác định vùng thiếu máu cục bộ phù hợp với vị trí tổn thương động mạch vành. Bài viết này nhằm cung cấp những bằng chứng về vai trò của kỹ thuật này trong chẩn đoán và tiên lượng bệnh mạch vành.
