Abstract

Background: Cesarean scar pregnancy (CSP) is growing more frequent in the past 10 years. Currently, no final consensus on CSP management has been made. Objectives: To analyse several factors relating to the results of CSP treatment at Hanoi Obstetrics and Gynecology Hospital within the span of 2 years from 2019 to 2020. Materials and methods: a cross-sectional, prospective study on patients with caesarean scar pregnancy under 10 weeks. Results: 174 patients were eligible to participate in the study. 83.9% of subjects with gestational age less than 8 weeks were successfully treated by vacuum aspiration. 8 cases of over 9-week gestation all had angiogenesis and all underwent  preservative  hysterotomy.  Conclusions:  Gestational  age  is  an  important  factor determining the management of CSP. With gestational age less than 8 weeks, vacuum aspiration is a successful treatment.
