Abstract

Background: Myocardial infarction is a necrosis of an area of the heart muscle, the result of prolonged myocardial ischemia. Objectives: 1. Investigation of clinical and subclinical characteristics in patients with acute myocardial infarction after percutaneous coronary intervention 2. Mortality predictive value of ZWOLLE scale in patients with acute myocardial infarction after intervention percutaneous coronary intervention. Materials and methods: The cross-sectional study performed on 100 patients diagnosed with ST-segment elevation MI and admitted to inpatient treatment at Can Tho Central General Hospital and underwent coronary intervention from 5/2020 to 5/2021. Results: The age group with a higher percentage is 60 and older with 71%. The mean age was 66,77 ± 12,12. The sex ratio is 72% male and 28% female. People with hypertension accounted for 93%, diabetes accounts for 18% and dyslipidemia accounts for 44%, smokers accounted for 62%. There is a relationship between the subgroup of Zwolle's prognostic index and the main cardiovascular event 1 month after the intervention. The higher the risk subgroup, the more likely the events will occur. Conclusions: There is a significant association between the Zwolle risk subgroup and other independent risk factors affecting patient prognosis such as age > 60 years, female gender, hypertension status, smoking history, the anterior myocardial infarction area of the study subjects.
