THE SURVEY OF COLD-HEAT COMPLEX AND RELATED FACTORS IN SCIATICA PATIENTS AT CAN THO TRADITIONAL MEDICINE HOSPITAL IN 2020-2021

Abstract
Background: Sciatica is a common syndrome in Vietnam and the world. To treat effectively by traditional medicine, it is necessary to correctly diagnose the traditional medicine pattern of each specific patient. Objectives: To determine the rate of cold-heat complex in sciatica patients and to describe the connection of some dangered factors and the appearance of cold-heat complex in sciatica patients. Materials and methods: A cross-sectional descriptive study was conducted on 100 patients with sciatica being treated at Can Tho Traditional Medicine Hospital in 2020. Results: Among 100 patients with sciatica, there was 21% patients having cold-heat complex. Cold-heat complex had statistical significance association with the sciatica patients rate enclose common cold (p<0,05). Conclusion: Cold-heat complex accounts make a high proportion and have statistical significance association with the sciatica patients rate enclose common cold.
