ASSESSMENT OF THE RESULTS OF PREGNANCY MANAGEMENT IN WOMEN FROM 35 YEARS OLD AT CA MAU OBSTETRICS AND PEDIATRICS HOSPITAL

Abstract
Background: The rate of childbirth in women over 35 years old is increasing; more caesarean section for monitoring the labor; mothers with a baby for the first time to predict; in order to limit risks for mother and child and increase the rate and risk of pregnancy. Objectives: To evaluate the results of obstetric management in pregnant women aged 35 years and older at Ca Mau Obstetrics and Children's Hospital. Materials and methods: All pregnant women aged 35 years or older gave birth at Ca Mau Obstetrics and Children's Hospital, from May 2020 to May 6, 2021. Results: 81.13% women giving birth by caesarean section. Among the reasons for elective cesarean section, surgery for progressive cessation of labor accounted for 46.51%. The average birth weight was 3071 ± 6.9gram, children weighing 3000-<3500grams for 48.11%, children requiring resuscitation accounted for 7.55%;Children admitted to the Neonatal Department for follow-up accounted for 48.11%. Only used breast milk was 43.14%; there are 21.57% cases with lamp and breast milk; ventilator-antibiotic accounted for 7.84%. Conclusion: Pregnant women over 35 years old who are pregnant for the first time should monitor, examine their ears, manage pregnancy and monitor birth at the province's hospital, to reduce complications and complications for mother and fetus.
