Abstract

Background: Depression is usually known as one of the relevant factors that affect to mental and physical health, immediate and long-term labor productivity of human. Prolonged stress may not only influence the health, social relationship and study result but also increase risk of mental illness. Objectives: Determining depression rate and relevant factors of full-time students of CTUMP at school year 2019-2020. Materials and methods: Cross-sectional study based on 730 full-time students of CTUMP, using stratified random sampling method. Depression is indicated by PHQ-9 scale. Results: The rate that full-time students of CTUMP suffer from depression gets 21.2%. This rate will be higher and comes from CTUMP student's who have longer studying times, have poor connectivity with college and suffer from high study pressure, in compare with the others. Conclusion: The rate that full-time students of CTUMP suffer from depression is high (1/5). Students need to have suitable study-plan and to manage time-table rationally.
