THE EFFECTS OF TREATMENT FOR ADULT SEBORRHEIC DERMATITIS BY USING THE COMBINATION OF ITRACONAZOLE AND E-PSORA AT CAN THO DERMATO-VENEREOLOGY HOSPITAL IN 2021 - 2022

Abstract

Background: Seborrheic dermatitis is a chronic inflammatory skin disorder disease which    involves the sebaceous glands, is common in worldwide with an incidence from 1 to 10% of the adults. Some study have shown that itraconazle is more effective treatment and help patient control symptoms of seborrheic dermatitis than orther anti fungi. The combination of itraconazole and topical non-corticosteroid have satisfactory result in seborrheic dermatitis. Objective: To evaluate the treatment results of seborrheic dermatitis in adults by using the combination of Itraconazole and  E-PSORA at Can Tho Dermato-Venereology Hospital in 2021- 2022. Materials and Methods: Cross-sectional study based on data of 72 seborrheic dermatitis patients. Patients were screened  for meeting some criterias of oral itraconazole and E-PSORA topical combination in 6 weeks. Results: After 6 weeks, 98.4% of the patients had very good efficient (p<0.001), and none had severe disease. Signs and symptoms were improved. No side effects were reported. Conclusions: The combination of itraconazole and E-PSORA topical can be first treatment option in seborrheic dermatitis  because of good efficacy, safe.
