RESEARCH ON THE PREPARATION OF FACE MASKS CONTAINING ESSENTIAL OILS

Abstract
Background: Currently, wearing a face mask is essential to protect yourself from the effects of Covid-19 pandemic, the environment such as polluted smoke, and used for sunshade, in medical facilities, etc... but continuous use for many hours will lead to feeling stuffy, uncomfortable. Therefore, it is necessary to research the preparation of masks containing essential oils to reduce discomfort for users. Objectives: (1) To survey the need to use face masks containing essential oils and type of essential oils. (2) To determine the composition of the excipients and the process of making face masks containing essential oils with the best rate and time of incense retention. (3) Survey of volunteers about their feelings after using a mask containing essential oils. Materials and methods: Masks containing essential oils and volunteers selected randomly, experimental research method combined with single-blind survey. Results: A process of making masks containing Orange essential oil has been developed with appropriate excipients and essential oils ratio. Surveys on feelings after using masks containing essential oils mostly give a pleasant feeling. Conclusion: Successfully developed a process to prepare masks containing essential oils with a retention time of more than 05 hours.
