Abstract

Background: Revenge bedtime  procrastination not only affects physical and mental health but also affects the ability to learn and the quality of professional practice. This is an increasingly common problem, especially among health students. Objectives: To describe the sleep procrastination habits of students at the Faculty of Nursing and Medical Technology, Can Tho University of Medicine and Pharmacy. Materials and methods: The study was conducted on 444 students with a crosssectional descriptive design, collecting data using self-completed questionnaires on Google forms. Data were analyzed by using SPSS 26.0. Revenge bedtime procrastination was divided into 3 level including “always” 36-45 scores, “sometimes” 19-35 scores, and “rarely” 9-18 scores. Results: The average score of sleep delay was 28.52 ± 3.80 scores. The majority of students have delayed falling asleep, with 17.0% “always procrastinating”, 34.5% “frequently procrastinate” and 31.5% of students “occasionally sometimes procrastinate”. Conclusions: Sleep treatment in students is quite common, with the majority of students procrastinating on sleep. Research results show that it is necessary to increase student’s awareness of sleep time and quality.
