ĐẶC ĐIỂM LÂM SÀNG VÀ CẬN LÂM SÀNG CỦA BỆNH NHÂN SỐT XUẤT HUYẾT DENGUE TẠI BỆNH VIỆN ĐA KHOA THÀNH PHỐ CẦN THƠ NĂM 2024 - 2025

Abstract

Background: Dengue fever is an acute infectious disease caused by the Dengue virus, with diverse manifestations. Updating clinical and paraclinical characteristics is essential for early diagnosis and timely treatment to save patients' lives. Objective: To describe the clinical and paraclinical characteristics of dengue fever patients at Can Tho General Hospital. Materials and methods: Cross-sectional descriptive study on 80 patients treated at Can Tho General Hospital diagnosed with Dengue hemorrhagic fever according to the standards of the Ministry of Health in 2023. Results: Clinical characteristics included: fever (100%), headache (93.8%), muscle and joint pain (87.5%), pain in both eye sockets (18.8%), nausea and vomiting (61.3%), rash, skin congestion (63.7%), petechiae and subcutaneous hemorrhages (81.3%), abdominal pain in the liver area (22.5%), frequent vomiting (3.8%), restlessness, lethargy, drowsiness (35%), hepatomegaly (6.3%), mucosal hemorrhage (5%), vomiting and nausea were more common in the group with warning signs. The following paraclinical findings were observed: Red blood cell count, hemoglobin concentration, and hematocrit were elevated, with mean values of 4.91 ± 0.72 T/L, 139.09 ± 29.77 g/L, and 0.41 ± 0.05 L/L, respectively. Platelet and white blood cell counts were both decreased, with mean values of 85.04 ± 61.47 G/L and 4.82 ± 2.99 G/L, respectively. Mean AST and ALT values were elevated, with mean values of 110.6 ± 141.17 U/L and 85.41 ± 119.92 U/L, respectively. Red blood cell and hematocrit levels were more pronounced in the warning signs group, while platelet counts were more pronounced in the warning signs group. Conclusion: Clinical signs of patients are diverse, symptoms of nausea, vomiting, red blood cell count, hematocrit, platelet count are related to the severity of disease in patients with dengue fever.
