Abstract

Background: The disease situation of a country or a community is a reflection of the health and socio-economic status of that country or community. Determining the disease situation helps health managers in Ba Ria-Vung Tau province have a vision and plan to build, human and material resources to meet the healthcare needs of the people in the world. The area is getting better and better. Le Loi Hospital, Vung Tau City, according to general statistics, each year, there are about 23.800 inpatients, and 640 transferred patients, and the mortality rate accounts for about 0.7%. Objective: Identify 10 disease chapters, diseases, and 3 groups of the highest hospitalized patients according to international classification ICD-10 at Le Loi Hospital, Vung Tau city from 2017 to 2021, the trend of changes of 3 groups sick. Materials and methods: A retrospective crosssectional description of 110.224 inpatient medical records stored at Le Loi hospital - Vung Tau city, determining disease status according to ICD 10 in 2017-2021. Results: The top five chapters are respiratory diseases (18.9%), infectious and parasitic diseases (10.6%), pregnancy, childbirth, and postpartum (10.6%) chapters. The chapter on diseases of the digestive system (9.7%), and the chapter on diseases of the circulatory system (6.7%). Structure of 3 groups of diseases from high to low, non-communicable diseases 49.5%, infectious diseases 38.5%, traumatic diseases, poisoning, accidents, and injuries 12%. Conclusion: According to the research results on the disease situation at Le Loi Hospital, Vung Tau city, it is consistent with the current state of disease as well as the national epidemiology.
