Abstract

Background: Atopic dermatitis is a chronic and progressive skin disease that affects all ages, significantly impacting both physical and mental health, as well as the quality of life. The primary pathogenesis of the disease is damage to the skin barrier, so topical treatment plays an important role in alleviating symptoms and restoring skin lesions. E-PSORA cream (containing Polyhydroxy acid, jojoba oil, vitamin E) and ZINVIO cream (containing Dipotassium glycyrrhizinate, Zinc oxide, vitamin E, and Sunflower seed oil) are natural, moisturizing, and antiinflammatory ingredients that can be beneficial in the treatment of patients with chronic atopic dermatitis.Objectives: To describe the clinical characteristics and evaluate the treatment outcomes of topical therapy using E-PSORA cream and ZINVIO cream in adult patients with chronic atopic dermatitis at the FOB International Aesthetic Dermatology Research Institute. Materials and methods: A cross-sectional study was conducted involving 84 adult patients with chronic atopic dermatitis who received treatment at the FOB International Aesthetic Dermatology Research Institute. Results: After four weeks of treatment, 19% of patients exhibited a good therapeutic response, 75% demonstrated a fair response, and 6% experienced an average or poor response. During the first week of treatment, adverse effects included skin erythema in 3.6% of patients and pruritus in 6%. Conclusions: The combination of topical E-PSORA cream and ZINVIO demonstrates favorable therapeutic outcomes in adult patients with chronic atopic dermatitis.
