Abstract

Background: With limited life experience and awareness, most first-year students will encounter many difficulties during the school year. For health students, they always have many challenges in learning. That causes many difficulties and psychological obstacles affecting students' learning activities Objectives: Building and standardizing a questionnaire scale to survey psychological difficulties in 1543 first-year students in terms of cognition. Materials and methods: The study of the architectural opinions of first-year full-time students of Can Tho University of Medicine and Pharmacy in 2024 was conducted using the methodological research method. The designed questionnaire will be evaluated for reliability of the scale by Exploratory Factor Analysis (EFA) and Cronbach's Alpha. Results: A scale of survey questions has been built and standardized to measure psychological difficulties in cognitive learning activities of first-year students with high reliability, with Cronbach's Alpha coefficient of 0.912, p< 0.001, Eigenvalue>1, the factor loading values of all variables are greater than 0.3 and the difference between factors is greater than 0.3.Conclusions: A scale of survey questions has been built and standardized to indicate psychological difficulties in the learning activities of first-year students in terms of cognition.
