OUTCOMES ASSESSMENT OF SHOULDER ARTHROSCOPIC ROTATOR CUFF REPAIR: A CASE-SERIES STUDY

Abstract
Background: Rotator cuff tendinopathy is common in patients with shoulder pain. Rotator cuff tears can cause pain and reduce shoulder function. Shoulder arthroscopic rotator cuff repair is a minimally invasive management for this lesion. Objectives: To evaluate clinical characteristics, imaging findings, and outcomes in patients undergoing shoulder arthroscopic rotator cuff repair. Materials and methods: 30 patients between 1/2020 and 10/2024 were enrolled in this retrospective and prospective descriptive study. Results: A ratio of gender was 1:1, an average age of 55.3 ± 39 years old, a history of injury at 53.33%, 100% with supraspinatus tear; a pain reduction of 6.89 and a UCLA score increase of 23.34 at postoperative 12 months comparing to preoperative timepoint. Conclusions: Shoulder arthroscopic rotator cuff repair significantly improved range of motion and shoulder function in patients with rotator cuff tears, with complications within acceptable limits.
