ANXIETY IN HEALTH SCIENCE STUDENTS AT TRA VINH UNIVERSITY AND SOME RELATED FACTORS

Abstract
Background: Anxiety is one of the mental health problems that has an important impact on the learning, performance and habits of health science students. Objectives: To assess the current state of anxiety of health science students at Tra Vinh University and to analyze some related factors. Materials and methods: Cross-sectional descriptive study with analysis on 1046 students who voluntarily participated in the study. Results: The results showed that the proportion of students showing anxiety was 61,2%. Factors related to student anxiety were age, gender, problems with friendship/romantic relationships, family. Conclusions: Based on the research results, the school needs to coordinate with families to have practical and timely solutions, and continue to conduct research to better understand the mental health status of students majoring in health sciences and other majors studying at the school.
