Abstract
Background: Femoral neck fracture is a kind of fracture that majority occur in elderly patients, especially women. This kind of injury which has different complications, usually need appropriate surgery and takes time to recover. There are many treatments, for example, immobilization, osteosynthesis and hip replacement. Recently, at Can Tho University of Medicine and Pharmacy Hospital, hemiarthroplasty has been used as a common treatment for femoral neck fracture. However, the evaluation of results, long-term follow of hip replacement surgeries still has many problems. Objectives: Assess the results of the hip replacement surgeries at the Can Tho University of Medicine and Pharmacy Hospital by using Bipolar hemiarthroplasty method from January 2018 to July 2019. Material and methods: From January 2018 to July 2019, we have carried out surgeries and follow-up on 46 patients. Prospective cross-sectional descriptive study. Results: The average age is 78.5 ± 10.91 years old, male is 26.1% and female is 73.9%. Right hip is 43.5%, left hip is 56.5%. Cementlessprothesis is 100%. Good and very good rehabilitation is 85.7%.
