Abstract

Background: Tooth decay, trauma or extensive teeth destruction are often indicated for porcelain restorations. One of the most commonly used prostheses in restoring complicated crown fracture is metal ceramic crown. Objectives: Evaluation of the results of treatment of the maxillary anterior teeth with complicated crown fracture by ceramic crown restoration in the patients visiting the Can Tho University of Medicine Hospital in 2017 - 2019. Materials and methods: Clinical interventions followed up longitudinal on 62 patients with 77 prosthetic units at Can Tho University of Medicine Hospital from May, 2017 to September, 2019. Results: After installation, 97.2% achieved good results. After 6 months, there were 1.4% of bone resorption, 5.6% of gingivitis, and 90.2% achieved good results. Conclusion: Metal ceramic crowns are a good option for restoring the maxillary anterior teeth with complicated crown fractures.
