Main Article Content
Abstract
Background: Ovarian tumor is a very common disease in women, at risk of malignancy. This study helps to determine the value of ROMA and IOTA in predicting the risk of malignancy in ovarian tumors before surgery. Objectives: Identify and compare the values of ROMA and IOTA in predicting malignancy risk of ovarian tumors in Can Tho. Materials and methods: Crosssectional descriptive studies on 207 cases of ovarian tumors underwent surgery at Can Tho Hospital of Maternity in 2017 - 2019. Results: the sensitivity of ROMA is 76.7%. The specificity of ROMA is 96.6%. The positive predictive value of ROMA is 79.3%. The negative predictive value of ROMA is 96.1%. the sensitivity of IOTA SR is 63.3%. The specificity of IOTA SR 94.9%. The positive predictive value of IOTA SR is 82.6%. The negative predictive value of IOTA SR is 98.8%. The sensitivity of IOTA LR2 is 76.7%.The specificity of IOTA LR2 is 97.2%. The positive predictive value of IOTA LR2 is 82.1%. The negative predictive value of IOTA LR2 is 96.1%. Conclusion: IOTA and ROMA are two highly valuable tools for predicting the risk of malignant tumors before surgery.
