KẾT QUẢ ĐIỀU TRỊ NHIỄM KHUẨN ÂM ĐẠO BẰNG METRONIDAZOLE PHỐI HỢP VIÊN ĐẶT CHỨA LACTOBACILLI TẠI BỆNH VIỆN ĐA KHOA MINH ĐỨC BẾN TRE NĂM 2022-2023

Abstract

Background: Bacterial vaginosis is one of the leading causes of vaginitis, antibiotic treatment is often highly effective but reduces the number of beneficial bacteria Lactobacilli. Lactobacilli are normal vaginal microflora and a protective factor. It breaks down and prevents the growth of pathogenic microorganisms in order to regenerate the normal microflora in the vagina. Objectives: Investigation of clinical characteristics, vaginal wet mount and to evaluate the effect of bacterial vaginosis treatment by Metronidazole in combination with Lactobacilli. Materials and method: Non-control clinical intervention study on 55 sexually active women over 18 years old at Minh Duc General Hospital, Ben Tre from 10/2022 to 4/2023. Results: In 55 participants, the percentage of Clue cells was reduced to 6.1% from 98% initially; the rate of Gram-positive bacilli 3+ (Lactobacilli) improved from 0% to 67.3%; cure rate of bacterial vaginosis is 82%. Conclusion: Lactobacilli should be combined with antibiotics to increase the effectiveness of treatment and limit the recurrence of bacterial vaginosis.
