SURVEY OF PEOPLE'S KNOWLEDGE, ATTITUDES, PRACTICES AND RELATED FACTORS FOR COVID-19 PREVENTION IN THE NEW NORMAL STATE IN THU DAU MOT CITY, BINH DUONG PROVINCE

Abstract
Background: People's knowledge, attitudes and practices towards COVID-19 prevention directly impacted on the fight against COVID-19 pandemic in community. Objectives: To determine the level of knowledge, attitudes and practices towards COVID-19 prevention and related factors in the new normal state in Thu Dau Mot city, Binh Duong province. Methods: Cross-sectional descriptive study on 524 people in Thu Dau Mot City, Binh Duong province from 2/2022 to 5/2022. Results: The percentage of sufficient knowledge was 79.2%. The figures for positive attitudes and correct practices were 89.9% and 86.5% respectively. The factors of age group, occupation, income and vaccination were significantly associated with sufficient knowledge regarding preventive action against COVID-19 spreading. The correct practices were associated with education and occupation. Conclusion: Knowledge, attitudes and correct practices towards COVID-19 prevention was low. More effective supports should be done to increase the proportion of people's sufficient knowledge, positive attitudes and correct practices towards COVID-19 prevention.
