EVALUATION THE RESULTS OF ENDODONTIC TREATMENT USING BIOCERMIC FOR CHROMIC PERIAPICAL LESIONS LOWER MOLARS AT CAN THO UNIVERSITY OF MEDICAL AND PHARMACY HOSPITAL IN 2019-2021

Abstract
Background: Bioceramic material has been used in endodontic treatment in recent years due to its biological suitability, antibacterial properties and good sealing ability. This material has been shown to overcome some of the significant limitations of previous generations of endodontic materials. Many studies showed that Bioceramic material has been effected in chronic periapical lesions. Objectives: To evaluate the result of endodontic treatment using Bioceramic for chronic periapical lesions lower molars at Can Tho University of Medicine and Pharmacy Hospital. Materials and methods: A descriptive and interventional study was conducted on 67 patients had chronic periapical lesions lower molars, treated with Bioceramic materials used in endodontic at Can Tho University of Medicine and Pharmacy Hospital and monitored after 1 week, 3 months, and 6 months. Results: After 6 months, in radiography, PAI 1 score accounted for 41.8% and PAI 2 score was 32.8%. The treatment outcomes after 6 months had healed rate of 74.6%. Conclusions: Endodontic treatment using Bioceramic for chronic periapical lesions were safe and effective method. Clinical, radiographic features of periapical lesions were significant in diagnosis and prognosis of treatment outcomes.
