STUDY ON CLINICAL CHARACTERISTICS, PARACLINICAL AND SOME RELATED FACTORS TO CESAREAN SECTION GROUP III ACCORDING TO THE CLASSIFICATION OF ROBSON AT CAN THO CENTRAL GENERAL HOSPITAL

Abstract
Background: The rate of cesarean section is increasing in countries around the world and in Viet Nam, and is becoming a critical issue worldwide. Reducing the rate of cesarean section for close to the rate of World Health Organization proposal is a critical issue of the center for obstetrics. Objectives: To describe the clinical, paraclinical characteristics; to determine the ratio of the causes of cesarean section and to find out some related factors to the cesarean section rate of group III classified by Robson at Can Tho Central General Hospital. Materials and methods: A crosssectional descriptive study was conducted on 120 pregnant women group III gave birth at Can Tho Central General Hospital from 05/2020 to 05/2021. Results: The rate of cesarean section group III was 46.67%. The average age was 32 ± 5.05 year olds (19-43 year olds). Cesarean section due to amniotic fluid and meconium was 37.5%; abnormal fetal heart rate was 21.43%. The factors related to the rate of cesarean section group III was bad amniotic fluid (OR 24.37), oligohydramnios (OR 8.63), CTG group 2 (OR 16.63). Conclusion: The rate of group III cesarean section according to the classification of Robson in our study is higher than that recommended by World Health Organization, it is necessary to have solutions to reduce the rate of cesarean section in this group.
