Abstract

Background: The disease pattern at the hospital makes it possible for health managers to have appropriate strategies to improve the ability to prevent and take care of people's health, and is the fundamental data for health managers to calculate the price of health services package in accordance with the actual situation in the local area. Objectives: To determine the proportion of diseases and subclinical types performed in outpatient examination and treatment at Soc Trang General Hospital in 2020. Materials and methods: Descriptive cross-sectional study and data collecting from records of  patients who examined and treated at Department of Examination at Soc Trang General Hospital from June 1^st, 2020 to December 31^st, 2020. Results: The study was conducted with 144,184 medical appointments, people had health insurance accounted for 88.66%. In disease pattern the circulatory system disease chapter accounts for the highest rate at 27.34%. The rate of subclinical performed the most was blood tests at 89.73% and endocrine diseases, nutrition and metabolic diseases have the highest rate of subclinical implementation. Conclusions: The most popular disease patterns at the hospital were circulatory system, endocrine, nutritional and metabolic diseases, and digestive system diseases, so it is necessary to pay attention to the investment in these specialties.
