JOB SATISFACTION AMONG HEALTHCARE WORKERS AND ASSOCIATED FACTORS AT MEDICAL CENTERS AND COMMUNE HEALTH STATIONS IN TAY NINH PROVINCE IN 2025–2026

Abstract
Background: Healthcare workers are essential to the effective functioning and sustainability of healthcare organizations. Job satisfaction is a key determinant of organizational performance and the quality of healthcare services. Objectives: To determine the level of job satisfaction and its associated factors among healthcare workers at Regional Health Centers and Commune Health Stations in Tay Ninh Province during 2025–2026. Materials and methods: A descriptive cross-sectional study was conducted on 396 healthcare workers from selected Regional Health Centers and Commune Health Stations in Tay Ninh Province. A stratified random sampling combined with cluster sampling approach was used. Three of the 24 Regional Health Centers and 11 of the 96 Commune Health Stations were randomly selected, and all eligible healthcare workers at the selected facilities were included in the study. Job satisfaction was assessed using a five-point Likert scale, with scores of 4–5 classified as satisfied and scores of 1–3 classified as not satisfied. Results: Participants aged 30–45 years accounted for 70.5% of the sample, and 73.7% were female. The overall job satisfaction rate was 53.3%. Overall satisfaction with the employing health facility was the highest (88.4%), whereas satisfaction with internal regulations, salary, and benefits was the lowest (65.2%). Educational qualification, salary, and participation in on-call duties were significantly associated with job satisfaction. Conclusions: The proportion of healthcare workers who were not satisfied with their jobs remained relatively high (46.7%). Appropriate remuneration and incentive policies are needed to improve job satisfaction among healthcare workers.
