Abstract
Background: Predictable root coverage is the major therapeutic endpoints in the treatment of gingival recession. Puros Dermis Allograft tissue matrix has been used as a substitute for connective tissue graft. Objectives: The aim of this study was to evaluate the effectiveness of a Puros Dermis Allograft graft for root coverage procedures. Materials and methods: Both male and female patients were selected, aged 18-37 years presenting with problems due to the exposure of recession defects when smiling. A total of gingival recession is 32 sites at Can Tho University of Medicine and Pharmacy Hospital from June 2018 to June 2020. Results: A total of 32 sites were treated and a mean coverage of (93.58% and 91.30%) was obtained at the end of the 3rd and 6th month respectively. Conclusion: The study showed that Puros dermis matrix graft surgery can be used to treat gingival recession for the maxillary molar.
