Abstract
Background: Oligohydramnios can appear any trimester of pregnancy, the incidence of amniotic fluid varies between 0.4% -3.9%. The detection, treatment and decision to terminate a pregnancy, especially in preterm pregnancy, it is a difficult problem for obstetricians. An intervention too early or too late affects both mother and child. Objectives: To describe clinical, subclinical features and the assessment of the treatment of oligohydramnios in pregnant women with the gestational age between 28 0/7- 36 6/7weeks. Materials and methods: descriptive crosssectional on 82 pregnant women with the gestational age between 28 0/7 -36 6/7 weeks with oligohydramnios at Can Tho Obstetrics and Gynecology Hospital. Results: The reason for admission is to periodically examine to detect minimal amniotic fluid (72%). The gestational age was 34.5 ± 2.08 weeks. Symptoms of reduced fetal movement (22%) and 15.9% pregnancy women had a uterine height less than the gestational age. The amniotic fluid index less than 2cm accounts for 4.9%. In 82 study cases, group I CTG was 74.4%. In the medical treatment group results: 87.8% are given internal treatment, 9.8% are indicated for cesarean section, and 1.2% for vaginal delivery. In the internal treatment group: 52.8% had cesarean section, 41.6% had improvement in amniotic fluid index and 5.6% had vaginal delivery. The gestational age group 28- less than 34 weeks can be extended from 7 to less than 14 days (33.3%) and from 34 to less than 37 weeks group is less than 7 days (58.3%) In the study, 52 babies were born with Apgar's index of 7 or more in the 1st-minute accounts for 69.3% and at the 5th minute is 96.2%. Conclusion: The oligohydramnios increases the rate of cesarean section.
