UPDATE OF LAPAROSCOPIC VENTRAL HERNIA REPAIR
Main Article Content
Abstract
Ventral hernias are common problems in surgical practice. Repair of hernia by a prosthetic mesh is a well recognized procedure. However, the procedure is to be done by open or laparoscopic technique is still a topic of discussion. Laparoscopic intraperitoneal onlay mesh hernioplasty is a new technique in treating ventral hernias. Its advantages are low recurrence and complication rate.
