Abstract

  Background: The the strong development of the drug retail system also creates put pressure on managers in ensuring quality, overcoming existing inadequacies. Objectives: 1). To determine the percentage of pharmacies at health stations meeting the criteria in the GPP standard; 2). To find out some related factors to the operation of medicine pharmacies at health stations not meeting the criteria GPP standard. Materials and methods: A cross-sectinal study on 120 health station pharmacies from 06/2020 to 06/2021 determine the percentage meeting the criteria in the GPP standard and find out some related factors. Result: 55% of establishments met the standards of personnel, 11.7% met the standards of facilities, 8.3% met the standards of records, books and professional documents, 50% met the standards, standards for implementing professional regulations, 87.5% met standards of drug inspection/assurance and 85.8% met standards of complaint settlement or recalled drugs. 100% met standards of drug ring recording and ensure drug origin. The percentage of establishments meeting GPP standards is 30.8%. No relationship was found with the rate not meet the GPP standard of the medical station's medicine cabinet (p>0.05). Conclusion: There is 30.8% pharmacies at health station of Tien Giang province that meet the GPP standards. No related factors have been found.
