ASSESSMENT OF MELASMA TREATMENT RESULTS BY LASER Q-SWITCHED ND: YAG WITH TRI-WHITE SERUM AT CAN THO UNIVERSITY OF MEDICINE AND PHARMACY HOSPITAL IN 2019-2020

Abstract
Background: Recently, on over the world, melasma treatment with Q-Switched Nd: YAG has been considered a new trend, bringing many positive results, safety, and few complications in treatment. In Vietnam, there are no studies to evaluate the effectiveness of Q-Switched Nd: YAG laser in melasma treatment. Objectives: Evaluate the results of Q-Switched Nd: YAG laser combination Tri-white Serum in melasma treatment. Materials and methods: All patients who were diagnosed with melasma at Can Tho University of Medicine and Pharmacy Hospital from April, 2019 to July, 2020. Cross-sectional descriptive studies. Results: At the end of treatment, in clinical, there were 13.41% of patients with high results /melasma cured, 41.46% had significant improvement, 45.12% had slight improvement, no cases whichever was heavier. MASI score decreased over time of treatment, decreasing a total of 4.91 ± 2.70 points compared with before treatment. The success rate of Q-Switched Nd: YAG laser combination Tri-white Serum in melasma treatment is 82.22%. Conclusion: The success rate of Q-Switched Nd: YAG laser combination Tri-white Serum in melesma treatment was 82.22%.
