RESEARCH ON DRUG INFORMATION OPERATION CONDITIONS, DRUG INFORMATION DEMAND AND RELATED FACTORS TO DEDICATION INFORMATION CONDITIONS OF MEDICAL STAFFS AT CAN THO GENERAL HOSPITAL IN 2020-2021

Abstract

Background: Drug information (DI) is in the field of clinical pharmacy, includes information associated with the drug, which is often printed in documents in a variety of formats. provide information related to drugs such as indications, contraindications, dosage, usage, adverse reactions of drugs to meet the information request of medical staff. Objectives: 1) Evaluation of conditions, DI activities at Can Tho City General Hospital; 2) Identify the DI needs of medical staff at Can Tho City General Hospital; 3) Identify some factors related to DI demand at Can Tho City General Hospital. Materials and methods: MS with high school or higher qualifications are doing professional work in the clinical department Can Tho City General Hospital. Cross-sectional descriptive method has analysis from 06/2020 to 06/2021. Results: Survey of 296 MS at 21 specialized faculties showed that the clinical pharmacy qualification reached 100%, the facilities reached 100%. The rate of response to good DI is good at 55.4%. DI mainly used handout materials 51.7%, briefing 41.2%. Methods of looking up information on information centers, specialized books and magazines 51.7%, leaflets on drug use 37.2%, domestic websites 40.5%. Update time per day and per week accounted for 38.5% and 42.9%. very necessary level of DI center 62.2%, very necessary level of drug information 94.9%. Forms of accessing information through scientific seminars 52.4%. Doctors and nurses look up DI regularly and sometimes with a rate of more than 45%. There was no relationship between age group, gender, professional qualifications, working time and DI needs. Conclusion: The DI operating conditions 100%. Demand supporting for DI 55.4%. DI mainly hand-out materials 51.7%, briefing 41.2%, scientific seminars 52.4%. Necessary demand for DI centers 62.2%. Health workers look up information information 45%. There is no relationship between age group, gender, professional qualifications, working time and DI needs.
