MANTLE CELL LYMPHOMA: A CASE STUDY AT CAN THO UNIVERSITY HOSPITAL IN 2020-2021

Abstract
Background: With the expansion of genetic immune technology and cytogenetics, new lymphoproliferative diseases have emerged in the past few decades. According to the WHO classification (2017), there are more than 50 known lymphoproliferative diseases today. Objectives: Describe clinical, subclinical characteristics and treatment results of a clinical case. Material and methods: Describe a clinical case of a female patient born in 1960 (61 years old) with non-Hodgkin lymphoma. Results and discussion: The patient was analyzed morphologically, cytologically and immunologically through biopsy of the left inguinal lymph node. The morphology of the cells is typical for diffuse mixed lymphoma of small and medium-size. Immunologically, the cells that make up the tumor are positive for CD5, CD20, cyclin D, and BCL2, consistent with mantle cell lymphoma. Conclusion: Diagnosis of different types of lymphoma is a combination of morphology and cytology. These factors also play a role in the choice of treatment modality and influence the patient's prognosis.
